Beach City Kitties is located in Venice California. We do not have a brick and mortar rescue center, instead we house our cats in foster homes while we look for adopters! Our fosters are located all around Los Angeles. Once approved for adoption you are welcome to visit potential matches at their foster homes. We also do adoption events at lease once a month on the west side of Los Angeles.
While we work very hard to match every kitty up with the purrrfect adopter, we also try to make our adoption process as quick and seamless as possible. The first step is to fill out a short application. We also require an in person or virtual home check. The adoption fee of $125 per cat or kitten or $200 for a pair. Cats come fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.
All donations made to Beach City Kitties Rescue go directly towards funding spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, flea medicine, food, supplies, transport, etc for the kitties
Yes, Beach City Kitties Rescue accepts donations such as cat toys, bed, litter, food, meds, etc when needed.
Our fosters are very important to us! We are always looking for new reliable fosters for cat & kittens. Ideally we like fosters to keep their kitties till adopted; at minimum fostering is a two month commitment. (Unless specified differently.) Beach City Kitties provides all medical supplies and covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, etc. Fosters provide their own food, litter, toys. We may be able to provide some start up supplies if needed.
As of August 2023 we are not able to take any owner surrenders. It has been a very busy kitten season. Unfortunately our rescue is at capacity, as we need to concentrate getting on getting the cats we already have rescued adopted.
